/ August 3, 2018Thank you for the podcast on rubrics. I distributed rubrics for several Comp I and Comp II assignments last semester. I am not sure a rubric ever made my grading easier. I still find myself defending my rubric ratings with many additional remarks — and sometimes crossing out some of the content in a particular rubric description that is not applicable to the paper at hand.

/ August 3, 2018I’ve had just the opposite experience, but definitely after some tinkering. What’s nice about the Blackboard rubrics is that you can add comments to each of your descriptions to clarify if a student’s performance doesn’t exactly match your pre-formed description.
