/ August 20, 2021I run a weekly poetry battle on Twitter & am upping my game this October with a rebranding/launch. In preparation, I came across your videos by sheer luck, but have been soaking in every single one since. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy and benefit from your teaching style! As I was sending one of your links to my partner in Italy, I decided to see how to contact you and see if you would possibly consider being one of our guest judges in the future. And as luck would have it, I am literally a stone’s throw away from you, in the big metropolis of Urbandale, Iowa. How crazy is that?! I followed you over on Twitter and you are welcome to check out a little bit of what I do, if you are interested.
The most important take away here is that I sincerely appreciate your content on YouTube and loved the way you present literature. It’s like you take the “airs” out of poetry and I couldn’t love that more! Part of what I am trying to bring about in my new launch is the love of poetry to all. I feel like it’s gotten lost in the grasp of the elites and those without connections or a sense of prestige tend to get lost along the way. So thank you for continuing to provide people like me with knowledge and assurance that my love for the art is validated.
All the best~
